[Video] Crypto Strategy Session: Still A Mess

February 19, 2022

Here is an inside look at our weekly Crypto Strategy Session that we have every Friday.

Sometimes there are more trading opportunities than others. That really just depends on the market environment.

In today's video we talk about the Key levels for Bitcoin, how some of the strongest Alts are setting up, and how far the correlation has come between Bitcoin and the S&P500.

The theories about Bitcoin being an inflation hedge, the theories about Bitcoin being a hedge against the US Dollar and the theories about Bitcoin being its own uncorrelated asset all turned out to be wrong.

There's NO evidence in price that proves those are anything but fairy tales.

Maybe one day one of those may turn out to be true. But we need to focus on the reality of the now and the present.

What do the facts say about what's going on? Not the conspiracy theories. Just the facts.

Here's this week's live video strategy session:

Bitcoin Crashes Just Like 1987

December 4, 2021

I can't help but notice the similarities between the Bitcoin Crash we just saw and what happened to stocks in 1987.

You guys following me for a while know I'm not big on analogs. Every market environment is different.

But history does help us put together a roadmap. We're all humans in this endeavor after all. And that certainly doesn't change, even if we are talking about Crypto and not stocks, 2021 and not 1987.

For you guys who are new to markets I encourage you to study the past. Learn about prior cycles and what happened.

These are great lessons. I promise you.

The US Stock market was booming in the 1980s, after doing nothing for decades since topping out in the mid-1960s.

Stocks were rolling. They had meme stocks and reddit back then too. They were just called other things like Junk Bonds and Corporate Raiders.

Those were some good times.

Then came Black Monday in October of 1987.

The S&P500 fell 20.4% in a single day.

[Podcast] Charts, Baseball & Being Nice w/ John Roque

November 26, 2021

In this podcast episode I sit down with one of my favorite technicians of all-time - John Roque. This is one of those people who influenced my thinking very early on. The combination of his simplicity along with sports analogies to describe market behavior made me a huge fan of his right away. This was about 15 years ago.

Since then, you'll here me throw out John Roqueisms all the time. I learned a lot from his way of thinking.

In this conversation we talk about the stock market, Gold, Bitcoin and Tech stocks. John also shares some fun stories about those who inspired him throughout his career and some of the things he’s learned more recently.

This was a lot of fun and a real treat for me.
